Awesome SEO SAS respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through awesome-seo.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under the GDPR and French data-protection law.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Awesome SEO SAS, 9 Allée des Troènes, 33700 Mérignac, France, is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact for any data-protection question: support@awesome-seo.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Contact-form and audit-request submissions: name, email, phone (optional), company name, and the message content you provide.
  • Checkout and orders: name, email, phone (optional), company, billing address, EU VAT ID (optional), and order details (packages selected, order reference, totals).
  • Qualifying-step answers (retainer purchases only): site URL, primary market/language, organic-traffic band, target markets, desired start month, competitor URLs you provide, and budget confirmation.
  • Analytics data (only if you consent): pages viewed, approximate location (country/region level), device and browser type, referral source — collected via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation, and only after you accept the Analytics category in the cookie banner or preferences modal.
  • Essential technical data: your consent choice itself (stored in a first-party cookie), and cart contents (stored locally in your browser, not on our servers).

3. Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and correspond with you — legitimate interest in running our business and answering enquiries addressed to us, or contract performance/pre-contractual steps where you're requesting a quote or scoping call.
  • To process and deliver an order you place — contract performance.
  • To measure how the site is used, in order to improve it — consent (Analytics cookies), withdrawable at any time.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations (e.g. invoicing records) — legal obligation.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. It may be processed by:

  • Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics 4), only if you've consented to Analytics cookies — see the Cookie Policy for detail. Data may be processed outside the EU/EEA; Google's Standard Contractual Clauses apply to such transfers.
  • Our hosting provider — see Legal Notice (Mentions légales) for its identity — which stores the site's files and any submitted form data in transit.
  • No other third party receives your data. There is no CRM, no email marketing tool, and no advertising pixel on this site.

5. How long we keep it

  • Contact-form and enquiry submissions: up to 3 years from your last contact with us, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner.
  • Order and invoicing data: retained for the statutory period required by French commercial and tax law (currently 10 years for accounting records).
  • Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics 4's configured retention period (14 months from collection), and only collected at all if you've consented.
  • Cookie-consent records: retained for 6 months, then your choice is asked again.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it if inaccurate; request its erasure; restrict or object to certain processing; and receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email support@awesome-seo.com. We aim to respond within one month, as required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés), at www.cnil.fr.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including serving the site exclusively over HTTPS and applying standard security headers. No transmission over the internet is ever fully risk-free, but we do not store any payment card data — checkout uses a simulated payment step and no card details are ever collected.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised; continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
